A Visit of Love and Hope Welcoming Christus für Deutschland to Shenge Children Organisation

On October 16th, 2025, Shenge had the great honor of welcoming a special delegation from Christus für Deutschland e.V., a compassionate church community from Germany, to our facility in Burera District. This heartwarming visit was a celebration of faith, friendship, and shared purpose a day that left a lasting imprint on the hearts of everyone involved.
From the moment they arrived, the delegation was met with joyful greetings from the children and staff. Their visit began with a tour of our facility, where they learned about the range of services we provide to children with various disabilities. Our team shared how we work to empower each child through inclusive education, therapy, and family support tailored to meet their unique needs and potential.

The delegation listened attentively as we explained the different disabilities the children at Shenge live with, and how we work to support them and their families with dignity, love, and purpose. Their genuine curiosity, compassion, and openness to understand our work was both moving and encouraging.
As part of their visit, the Christus für Deutschland team extended their generosity in a beautiful and practical way. They donated 30 sheep to Shenge families, and medical insurance for 15 families, supporting sustainable livelihoods and long-term benefits for the families.
Additionally, they provided essential food supplies, including rice and beans, helping to meet the immediate needs of the community.

These gestures may seem simple, but to the families we serve, they represent hope, and the reassurance that they are not alone.
The children were overjoyed by the visit, engaging in warm interactions that transcended language and culture. It was a powerful reminder that love and kindness speak louder than words. Moments like these are why we do what we do because every child deserves to be seen, celebrated, and supported.
